I haven’t had any proposals since AFCON-Nwabali

Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has disclosed that he has yet to receive any offers from other clubs since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Nwabali has been linked with a transfer away from his South African club, Chippa United.

Queens Park Rangers, a Sky Bet Championship team, and Al Ettifaq, a Saudi Arabia Professional Football outfit, were apparently interested in the goalkeeper.

Belgian Pro League clubs Union St Gilloise and Kaizer Chiefs have previously been connected with the shot stopper.

However, the 27-year-old admitted that no club has approached his representatives about a potential transfer.

“You see, to be honest, I’ve never seen anything on my table since AFCON,” Nwabali told FARPost.

“Perhaps those clubs have spoken with my team or my manager. But there’s nothing we can do at this time.

“And they cannot approach me because it would be unprofessional. They must visit my club or my management.

“So I’m not sure if there’s anything on the table, perhaps waiting for the summer or transfer window. You are aware that most clubs always do this. When they express interest, you are opening the door to other clubs.

“So, some individuals constantly keep it a secret, and they only get you once. “I don’t know anything right now.”

Nwabali played an important role in Nigeria’s second-place result in AFCON 2023.
