Nigerians want the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to clean house and save the country from the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to Adolphus Wabara, chairman of the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT).
Despite the ongoing difficulties, Wabara stated that PDP must reorganize itself in order to seize power in 2027.
In his opening remarks at Thursday’s PDP BoT meeting, which was convened in anticipation of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, he made the appeal.
Wabara asserts that the party can overcome any difficulty and achieve its goal of becoming a more powerful, inclusive, and resilient organization that is prepared to seize power in 2027.
Nigerians are counting on us to clean house and spearhead the effort to free our country from the grip of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as they endure this dangerous period.
Going into this summit, we need to be dead set on finding workable solutions to the problems now confronting our Party.
“I feel compelled to speak on a subject that is close to our hearts: the current state of party leadership.”
