Presidential Biden Addresses Pregnancy-Related Mortality Among Black Women in the United States

On Thursday, US President Joe Biden stated that Black American women have a higher maternal mortality rate than white American women.

As a result, the Black Maternal Health Week has become an immediate rallying cry, according to Biden.

In an X post, Biden claimed that his government is working to eliminate racism in America.

As far as Black women’s health is concerned, the president claims that his administration is working to eliminate health disparities.

“Black Maternal Health Week is an urgent call for action” (Biden stated), because the maternal mortality rate for Black women in the US is three times higher than that of white women.

The health and well-being of Black moms are directly affected by the long-standing disparities that Black communities continue to suffer, which is why the federal government is being used to address these issues.
