Refiloe Jane, the captain of Banyana Banyana of South Africa, believes the squad has the talent to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons are standing between the Banyana Banyana and a place in Paris 2024.

Recent meetings between the two teams have been closely contested, with South Africa winning the last time they met at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco.

“It feels nice to be back with the team after a long path of recuperation. But all of it is behind me now. “I am more focused on rejoining the team and sharing the experience I have gained over the years,” Jane told Safa.net.

She added, “We have a mandate to qualify for the Olympic Games, which is what we are focusing on and working on as a team. We are aware of our team’s strengths, and we will work to combine them to ensure our success.

“Even though we’ve played Nigeria a few times and just triumphed, we still need to show them the respect they deserve. They remain the indisputable African champions, as evidenced by the number of times they have controlled the continent in the WAFCON.
