Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made a decision between two footballing greats, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Many football fans consider Ronaldo and Messi to be the game’s all-time greats.
With almost 800 goals between them for club and nation, both men are still going strong in their twilight careers.
Both Ronaldo and Messi have won major championships while playing for elite clubs.
Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian powerhouse Al-Nassr in December 2022, while Messi signed with Major League Soccer club Inter Miami. Both players currently play outside of Europe.
Even Arteta’s three sons look up to the Argentine superstar, so it’s clear who he wants. Messi, of course.
To quote Arteta, “It’s always been Lionel Messi.” the player told Sky Sports.
Everything is the same for my three boys. It has been an incredible blessing to witness the greatest player of all time. I rank him among the all-time greats.
