The CBN and other associated businesses would be investigated by Tinubu’s special investigator, Obazee, according to the COSMATO.
The letter that appointed him was dated July 28, 2023.
Saturday, Tinubu thanked Obazee, a former head of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), for his time as special investigator of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and related entities following his appointment on July 28, 2023.
The President was impressed with Obazee’s dedication and skill in handling the complexities of this important national responsibility.
The inquiry is formally finished after the completion of the assignment, submission of a final detailed report, and wrapping up of all equipment utilized within the project that ended on March 31, 2024.
Additional action is being pursued by all applicable regulatory and law enforcement bodies.
