Pochettino was named permanent head coach of the Blues last summer following his dismissal from PSG.
Knowing that the Chelsea position would be “a massive challenge,” the Argentine acknowledged that he had been connected with Real Madrid and Manchester United.
“I used my reputation to get into Chelsea as well, as part of a project to assemble a team of young, gifted players who have the potential to become world-class players,” he explained.
I want to equip the team with the resources they need to win games, have faith in themselves, and develop a strong bond, even if we were aware that it would be a tremendous problem.
After Thursday’s 4-3 win over United, Chelsea moved up to 10th place in the league with 43 points.
