The former ally of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, Aisha Galadima, was detained by the DSS and subsequently accused of being subjected to harassment and physical violence.
This accusation was made by the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) upon her release from the custody of the security agency.
A Facebook post by Galadima insulting Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna state, led to her detention in the state.
According to the COZMATO, she was abducted from her home on Sunday afternoon and taken away.
“Aisha has just been arrested by DSS at her Tudun Wada residence in Kaduna,” one of her brothers affirmed, confirming the arrest.
Reiterating her release, the APC chairman said that DSS agents had harassed and assaulted her.
In an interview with news reporters, Galadima claimed that four DSS agents forcibly removed her from her room.
They took me out of my room just as I was getting about to take a bath. Outside the gate, I beheld four of their Hilux pickups. “They chased me inside and then drove away,” she cried out.
She claims that in February, the DSS accused her of posting an ad criticizing Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State.
The alleged confrontation between El-Rufai and Governor Uba Sani, who succeeded him, is said to have some connection to Aisha Galadima’s detention.
The governor recently leveled accusations that El-Rufai’s administration was burdened with a massive amount of debt.
